Download Fractal Remote
Control your Fractal rig from across the room — scenes, presets, tempo and the tuner.
Looking for the current build…
What you need
- A Fractal unit — FM3, FM9, Axe-Fx III or AM4, or a VP4 in part. On a VP4, the app turns effects on and off, changes presets, and changes scenes once you set one number on the VP4 itself. Changing presets and scenes is new on a VP4, and nobody on our side has tried it on one yet. Knobs, the tuner, tap tempo, channels and saving don’t work on a VP4 from the app yet. The app can’t show the names of a VP4’s presets, except the one it is on, or whether its effects are on or off, yet. On a VP4, Previous and Next go through a setlist or your starred presets, not slot by slot.
- A USB cable from the unit to this computer. That is the only wire.
Setting up a Raspberry Pi?
- Step-by-step setup: which Pi to get, what to buy, and every step from the memory card to the pedalboard, from a Mac, a Windows PC, a Linux computer, or a TV and keyboard plugged into the Pi.
Want it on your phone too?
- The computer app holds the cable; the phone drives it from a stage. iPhone and iPad are on the App Store, and Android is on Google Play.
- Sign in with the same account on both, and that is the pairing done.
Not ready to install anything?
- Open the app in this browser and try the demo — a simulated FM3, FM9, Axe-Fx III, AM4 or VP4, with the real factory presets on it. No unit needed and nothing to install. The simulated VP4 does more than the app can do on a real one yet, and says which parts.
